These words are a bit deep and profound, spoken by German theologian, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, but then again, Bonhoeffer was a bit deep.
What is the way? For believers it is Jesus and we’ve been put on this earth to glorify God and use our gifts and talents to serve this generation. We’ve been put on this earth to follow “the Way” and to be conscience of Him and not lose sight of His mission for our lives.
As Bonhoeffer points out, the way is “unutterably hard” with challenges and stresses. It’s not always easy to be a Christian, but if we follow with obedience- not allowing fear to take root- we will be following the way and we will not go astray. To stay on track we must fight and make an effort to be in God’s Word everyday, we must pray, be planted in a church community, help others, and chase our God given destiny. May we not lose sight of this!
