It has been four years since Country Music artist Booke Eden released a song and now finally we have her new single, “No Shade.” Billboard has called her a “fiery country star-in-the-making.”

"I was talking to someone the day before we wrote 'No Shade' and I said, 'There's no shade coming your way from me,'" shared Brooke in a statement. "I wrote that down and thought there was something freeing in having no bad feelings toward someone who's done something bad to you. ‘No Shade’ is about your own self-awareness to take responsibility for yourself and start anew. It’s the perfect song to kick off the new music I am sharing in 2021!”

Part one of her three-part reintroduction, all produced by Jesse Frasure (Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Marshmello, Meghan Trainor, and more), “No Shade” became available everywhere digitally yesterday. Each of the three tracks to be released in the coming months will be followed by music videos that share glimpses into her musical and personal journey and fit together as a trilogy.

In her four-year break Brooke has experienced love lost, health challenges and recovery, and growth. No Shade is the story of a woman rediscovering herself after spending years in a situation that stifled who she was and who she wanted to be. "Nobody going to steal my sunshine or turn my blue-sky grey / All I know is at the end of the day wildflowers grow when there ain't no shade," Brooke sings, and you can hear the two meanings at work in her powerhouse vocal.
