Review: The Conrad At Resorts World Las Vegas

One of Las Vegas’ impressive resorts | Photo provided by Resorts World Las Vegas

Background

A Hilton property, the Conrad Las Vegas is a part of a large complex with a Hilton Hotel and Crockford’s Hotel. Construction was completed on the property, which is the most expensive hotel built on the Las Vegas Strip in 2021. It’s the largest Conrad in the world with 1,496 rooms and suites.

What’s It Like?

The hotel has the largest LED display on the side of the building, making it a vibrant and lively hotel complex in Las Vegas. As soon as you enter via The Hilton, Crockfords, or the Conrad lobbies- or through the mall area doors, you’ll notice the vibrant atmosphere and kinesthetic energy that the hotel brings. It’s like its own city and it’s possible to totally unwind and never feel the need to leave the hotel. Owned by the Genting Group, a Malaysian company, you’ll find Asian touches throughout the hotel with its culinary offerings.

Where Is It?

Across from the Las Vegas Convention Center, Resorts World Las Vegas is on the north end of the Strip, a stone’s throw from the Encore and the Wynn hotels

Rooms

Rooms are designed in a midcentury modern style with views either of the Strip, the pool, or the city. The floor to ceiling windows bring lots of light making rooms feel larger. The Conrad Strip View Premium King comes with one king or two queen beds at 550 square feet, with a sitting area and working desk. There’s also wireless charging in the room. The bed is marvelously cozy, and spacious- perfect for a weekend staycation to unwind with a large smart TV directly in front. Another nice touch is the large bathroom with a walk-in shower and bench to sit and relax. The Byredo Mojave Desert bath products hit the spot and smell divine. One downside is that there isn’t a coffee machine or tea kettle in rooms.

Food and Drink

Wally’s restaurant | Photo provided by Resorts World Las Vegas

Wally’s has a different vibe if you eat at breakfast or during dinner. During the dinner hour and if you eat inside the restaurant, it’s intimate as you’re surrounded by wine, wood tones, and muted lighting. For breakfast, if you dine at the entrance, in the mall part of the hotel, the feeling is like you’re, well, in a mall with bright lights. Whether you dine for breakfast or dinner, the service is amazing and inviting. I’ve dined there for both and you can’t go wrong, but I’m partial to having at Wally’s

The breakfast menu isn’t so vast, like Junior’s and this is actually nice with only 8 choices. One isn’t overwhelmed with choices. The Three Eggs, Any Style comes with eggs, thick cut bacon or chicken sausage, boulangere style potatoes, and a grilled baguette for $24. If you ask for ketchup they’ll let you choose Wally's ketchup or normal ketchup. The former is tangier with a twist. The Wally’s Breakfast Sandwich is also a good choice with bacon, a farm fresh egg, ewephoria sheep’s milk cheese, heirloom potatoes, crushed avocado, and chipotle mayo. It’s served with potatoes or fresh fruit, for $28. You can’t go wrong having breakfast at Wally’s. The staff are friendly and warm, with managers walking around, seeing if guests need anything.

Junior’s is a Brooklyn, New York establishment that found its way to Resorts World Las Vegas. As you walk in, you’re met with an array of cheesecakes- something they’re known for. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this location often has a line of people waiting to be seated. Their breakfast menu has everyone’s preferred breakfast palate covered from cocktails, to egg platters, omelettes, French toast, breakfast specialties, and yogurt, grains, and fruit.

The Lumberjack, one of the breakfast specialties, hits the spot and could really feed two for $27.95. It comes with two griddle cakes (pancakes), two eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries or grits or sliced tomatoes, and toast. If you’re looking for a typical American-style breakfast then Junior’s is the place to dine.

Crossroads is an all-plant based restaurant at Resorts World Las Vegas and let me tell you, it’s good. While many may not be used to or partial to plant-based dining, I urge you to give Crossroads a try. It’s the first premier and 100% plant-based fine dining restaurant in the US, and Chef Tal Ronnen and Executive Chef Paul Zlatos’ menu items will trick your taste buds, eyes, and brain into thinking it's eating meat. With a muted lighting that makes for a romantic ambience inside, try the 5-Course Fall Tasting Menu. For $85 a person it starts off with melt in your mouth Mushroom Bianca Pizza for the first course. The second course, the Bartlett Pear Carpaccio with climax blue cheese, walnuts, and endive wholegrain mustard vinaigrette is tangy with a hint of sweetness from the pears. The Linguine Scallops for the third course are not actual scallops, but the texture of the mushrooms makes it feel that way. The fourth course, the eggplant filet is oh-so divine. The eggplant melts in your mouth and is served with mashed potatoes and a rich mushroom bordelaise sauce. The last course, dessert, is the chef’s selection. The night I dined it was a banana crème layered with a rich flavored cookie crumble.

Leisure

The Awana Spa offers treatments, or just the opportunity to relax in the pools, steam rooms, or sauna. Both options require a fee but both options offer maximal relaxation and the opportunity to unplug from the busyness of the city. There’s also a sizeable gym with state-of-the-art workout equipment.

Verdict stay here. It’s a part of a vast resort and there’s something for everything. You won’t get bored staying here.

Best For the feeling like there’s always something going on. The resort has a kinesthetic energy, and The Conrad adds to this. The lobby is always bustling.

Don’t Miss the above average service and feel like there is always something to do.

Price ranges from $99 to $759 throughout December
