Seele Contributor, Thomasena Thomas reminds us of the Apostle Paul’s words, that t to live a life holy acceptable to Christ, we must deny ourselves DAILY and pick up our crosses each and every day. Even despite our mistakes, God still loves us, Thomasena points out. But, it’s in the picking up of our crosses and repenting that God does His greatest work.

There are many moments in life when we will all feel as if the world is against us- losing a job, a break up, someone hurts us, we try to pursue a dream but it doesn’t seems as if we’re making any headway, we get a challenging boss, our church lets us down, family members hurt us, etc. And we all know that life isn’t fair, but often, when it looks like something is being done to us, it’s actually being done for us.

Now, God doesn't cause thorns. They're here because of sin and He allows them because He has a greater plan, and one day there will be no more thorns. But, they keep us humble.
