The New Gigi C Spring 2024 Collection Is Very Grown Up

With feel-good textured fabric and a fuchsia palette, the silhouettes are mature and practical. No wonder Irina Shayk, Naomi Watts, and Eva Longoria are fans of the brand

When Gigi Caruso founded her swimwear brand Gigi C at the age of 16, with her mother Tina, she probably didn’t imagine how well the brand would evolve. It’s one of the best swimsuit brands in an oversaturated market, but Gigi C manages to stand out. The quality and style of the brand’s products keeps people coming back for more, and the latest Spring 2024 collection is oh-so lovely, grown up, and stylish.

There are different silhouettes in the collection like the Jordan Surfsuit ($275) made from scuba material with a high neck and long sleeve detailing but with side cut outs that add a sporty touch. And the Shay Top ($125) and Bottom ($140) oozes a very grown up mature woman look. It’s the shape of the top, it’s U-neckline, and its high waisted bottom that elongates the legs. What gives these bathing suits a unique look is the braiding texture of the fabric.

And then there’s a whole selection in fuchsia, a color that became a trend in fashion on the Valentino runway, but a color that looks enviable for the beach and pool. The Tabitha Top ($140) and Bottom ($110) is similar to the Shay Top and bottom, but the top straps are wider in style. The Alice Bra ($125) and Jaclyn Bottom ($90) is stylish, especially the detailing in the top and it’s your typical bikini style similar to bikinis in the 80s and 90s. The Lydia Surfsuit ($260), Riley Surfsuit ($275), and Riley Surfsuit Full Coverage ($275) are the brand’s signature surfsuit styles with sporty silhouettes.

And can we talk about the coverups? The Teagen Maxi ($160) in black and pearl colors, as well as the Arihanna Maxi ($220) are long and flowy. Perfect for resorts, it’s easy to go from the pool to the café or to just wander around while looking stylish at the same time. The Estelle Skirt ($190) hugs the silhouette in all the right places, showing the female form perfectly. And in fuchsia, the Marie Coverup ($120) gives the long cover feel, while the Molly Dress is short and sporty, giving the appearance of a tennis dress, allowing a blending between the beach and needing to go to a café or store. And the Willa Sarong ($95), also in fuchsia add that feeling of security and style for the lower body.

Last August, Caruso opened Gigi C’s offices with showroom space where the old Barney’s New York store in LA used to be. Her father, developer Rick Caruso has his offices in the department store turned office space as well. It’s a chic space designed by interior designer David Samuel Ko from Maison Ko. Gigi C is the one of the best swimwear brands out there with. The prices are great for the quality of products that Carus and her team are putting out on the market.
